Sands surges to two-year-old trophy success
Just a week after finishing third in the
Group 1 Middle Park stakes at Newmarket, Summer Sands ran out the decisive
winner of the Listed Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy on Saturday for Richard Fahey
and the Cool Silk Partnership and in doing so became the fifth stakes winner
from the sale.
The son of Coach House was consigned at the
2018 Ascot Yearling Sale by Trickledown Stud and purchased for £2,000 by Breeze
Up Consignor Robson Aguiar. He was then re offered at the 2019 Ascot Breeze Up
Sale and purchased by Stroud Coleman for £85,000 on behalf of the Cool Silk
Partnership.
Ascot sales have proved to be a happy hunting ground for the owners with last year’s Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes winner Sands Of Mali coming out of the 2017 Breeze Up Sale and Listed winner Flaming Princess a graduate of this year’s renewal.
