Stakes race double for Linacre House Stud graduates
At
last year’s Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale James Kelly’s Linacre House Stud,
Ireland offered two yearlings for sale - an Outstrip filly out of Celsius Degre
and a Hot Steak filly out of Qatar Princess, both are now stakes winners.
Lot 65, the Outstrip filly was purchased by Stratford Place Stud for £10,000 and named Flippa The Strippa, she went into training with Charlie Hills and she ran with promise on her debut being placed 3rd at Nottingham before going on to win at Chepstow on her second start. On her next start at Sandown she ran out the impressive winner of the Listed National Stakes at Sandown Park on 23rd May. Her sister by Free Eagle is catalogued as Lot 34 in this year’s sale.
Lot 159 a filly by Hot Streak was purchased by Breeze Up consignor Daniel Benson for £20,000. She was produced and re offered at this year’s Ascot Breeze Up Sale where she was purchased for £60,000 by Matt Coleman on behalf of the Cool Silk Partnership. Subsequently named Flaming Princess she won on her debut for Richard Fahey and followed up her Queen Mary run at Royal Ascot with an impressive win in the Listed Prix Cavalassur stakes at Deauville.
This year’s sale takes place on 10 September and has catalogued 167 sharp, precocious yearlings.
